How to make Abunabunu kontomire soup

Abunabunu soup is a Ghanaian soup which originated from the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. There are two types of Abunabunu soup. The first one is made of dried fish, snails and mushroom. The second one is mostly made of bush meat with dear or grass cutter or antelope toilet. 
Ingredients for making Abunabunu type 1.
1. Smoked cat fish, Salmon, Tilapia
2. Koobi or salted fish
3. Mushroom
4. Kontomire (cocoyam leaves )
5. Pepper
6. Turkey berry
7. Salt

Method of preparing Abunabunu

Method 1
Cook the kontomire, pepper and the turkey berry
Method 2
Chop 1 big Onion, 2 garlic and use it to steam the fish. Add salt to taste, add 3 fresh tomatoes
Method 3
Blend the cooked kontomire, pepper and the turkey berry.
Method 4
Add the blended mixture to the steaming smoked fishes
Method 5
Let it boil for about 30 minutes and serve with fufu

How to make lemon deodorant and use it effectively to avoid armpit odours

When you have no choice in life but only lemon 🍋, just use it as a deodorant and life will give you good smell. The most effective, natural and affordable deodorant is a lemon or lime juice. 
Many deodorant that we see around shops have some artificial chemicals that may be harmful to the body. If you use lemon or lime juice as deodorant, you are saving your body from unwanted chemicals. 
In order to use lemon juice as deodorant effectively......
1.Slice a lemon or lime into two
2. Squize the juice into a cup
3. Strain it and remove the seeds.
4. Pour it into a spray bottle
5. Put it or preserve it in the fridge.

Now How To Apply The Lemon juice effectively
Some people apply lemon juice in their armpits 10 or 5 minutes by before they bath and this is not going to be effective or serve as Deodorant. 

This is the correct method of applying lemon or lime juice in your armpit to avoid odours. 
Bath first, after bathing apply the lemon juice in your armpit and then go do your daily hustle job. In the evening time, smell your armpit to see if there is any odour. You can also apply it in the evening after bathing and go to bed if you are a married person. 

Only apply the lemon juice after bathing

How to make shito at home

Shito is a Ghanaian pepper sauce used for eating different types of food like rice, Waakye, kenkey, banku, garri, etc. Shito originated from the GA people of Accra. Black pepper is another name for shito. 
Ingredients for making shito
Chili powder
Shrimps powder
Dried fish powder
Onion
Garlic
Ginger
Salt
Cooking oil
Tin tomato paste (3tsp)

Method of preparing shito
1.Blend 3 big onion, 1 bulb garlic, 1 big ginger (add little water to help the blender to blend it)

2. Pour the blended mixture into a cooking pot and let it dehydrate for about 20 to 30 minutes.

3. Put different cooking pot on fire and pour about 2 cup of the cooking vegetable oil into the pot. Let the oil temperature rises to 80 -100 °C

4. Add the dehydrated blended mixture into the hot oil. Let it cook for 10 minutes.

5. Add 4 tea spoon of the tomato paste and let it cook for another 10 minutes.

6. Add 4 tea spoon of the powder pepper and let it cook for another 10 minutes.

7.Add 5 tea spoon of shrimp powder, 4 tea spoon of fish powder and stir it. 

8. Reduce the temperature and let it cook till it becomes black while continue stirring it occasionally.

9. When the shito is ready, let it cool down until the next day.

How to start poultry farming step by step

Poultry farming is easy and simple if you follow the rules and guidelines. Poultry farming is only risky business if you try to use short cut. One of the businesses that can make you rich within a short poultry years is poultry farming business. I want to share with you on how you can start your own poultry farming business or things you need to consider before starting. 


1. Goal
Let it be your number one goal if you really want to venture into the poultry farming business. Without setting a goal to achieve something, it's impossible to see it in reality.

2. Research
If you don't know what you are doing, it's called gambling but if you have well knowledge about what you are doing and the likely outcome of it, it's called an investment. Before starting anything, whether business, marriage, eating, selling, friendships etc, you have to do research. Ask Google, read from books, watch videos, visit Farms, ask experienced people in the field about the poultry farm  business you want to start.

3. Land
After doing your research, you need land. You have to consider buying land for the poultry farming business. It's advisable to buy one acre of land if you can not buy 2 or 3 or 4 acres of lands. The land should be close to a big city or one hour drive to a big city. Buying land at a nearby village close to the big city can be little bit affordable. Also when buying the land, it should be little bit away from residential area to avoid misunderstandings between you and the people in the community

4. Borehole
You are going to need water to build the structures and also to feed your birds. Poultry drink a lot of water and therefore it's advisable to dig a borehole. 

5. Structures
How many birds do you want to start with ? 80 by 40 ft rectangular shape structure can accommodate 2000 birds. 40 by 40 takes 1000 birds. 20 by 20 feet can take 500 day old chicks.  After building the structure for the birds, you would need a structure for your worker, for storing maize and where to mix their feeds etc. 

6. Equipments
The next thing to consider buying is poultry equipments. You are going to need drinkers, feeders, brooders, wheelbarrow, shovel, boots, basins, water storage tanks etc

7. Feeding
Feeding is another crucial aspect of poultry farming business. In fact 60 -80% is going to go into feeding your poultry. You need to consider your financial status before starting the poultry farming business. Chick mash is given to day old chicks for the first 2 weeks. You can mix your own poultry feed from 2 weeks going if you have the right knowledge about it. 

8. Financing
Never quit your job that gives you cash flow. Poultry farming is capital intensive so please never stop the job that brings in the cash flow. If you don't have any cash flow, it's advisable to have one before starting the poultry farming business.

  • Don’t overcrowd birds

  • Feed must be of good quality

  • Adequate ventilation

  • Give clean water

  • Keep the poultry house clean

  • Don’t mix young and older birds

  • Dispose off dead birds quickly and isolate sick ones.

  • Provide disinfectant at the entrance of the poultry house

  • Antibiotics should never be used to replace good management and should be used on prescription by a veterinarian.
